Peer review

All research papers, as well as the majority of other article categories, are rigorously peer reviewed before publication in JNL. Two unbiased peer reviewers often execute this. The editors review the submission to JNL and determine whether it is appropriate for peer review.

Policy
Submissions that the editor deems eligible for consideration will be sent out for peer review by the relevant, independent experts. The editorial decision on a manuscript will be based on the reviewers' reports, and authors will be supplied with these reports along with the editorial judgment. The authors should be aware that even in the context of one satisfactory review, issues noted by a different reviewer may significantly affect the study and cause the article to be rejected.

Open Peer Review
Peer review reports for journals that operate an open peer review process include the names of the reviewers. If the manuscript is published, the named reports will also be published online. Occasionally, prepublication history information may not be available for a particular article. The authors and reviewers will be aware of each other's names during the peer review process. Authors and reviewers should not correspond directly. Journal Editors should be contacted during or after the review process if there is any correspondence between authors and reviewers.

Closed Peer Review
In JNL, most peer reviews are conducted in a closed environment, depending on the manuscript and author. All reviewers will be treated anonymously, and articles' pre-publication histories will not be published.

Peer Reviewers
To ensure a successful publication process, we carefully select reviewers based on many factors, including expertise, reputation, recommendations, and previous experience. Referees are chosen who are fast, careful, and provide reasons for their views, whether they are forgiving or robust.

Prior to sending manuscripts for review, we contact potential reviewers. Reviewers should keep all things confidential. It is strongly recommended that authors provide suggestions for peer reviewers based on geographical regions, gender identities, racial and ethnic groups, and others. Peer-reviewers should be requested to take into consideration geographical regions, gender identities, and racial or ethnic groups.
