Instructions For Author

We appreciate you deciding to send your paper to us. By following these guidelines, we'll make sure we have everything we need for a seamless peer review, production, and publishing process for your manuscript. Please take the time to read them and adhere to them as strictly as you can to ensure that your manuscript complies with the criteria of the journal.

Content Type
The Journal of Neoteric Life Sciences accepts submissions of the following content types to publish:

  • Research article

  • Review paper

  • Case study

  • Editorials

  • News and views

General Formatting Guidelines

  • The articles or reports should be submitted as a Word file. Do not submit the articles or reports in PDF format.

  • The general font type for the different content types should be “Times New Roman” in size 12.

  • The margins of the pages should be at least 2.5 cm (1 inch).

The heading levels should be formatted in a consistent manner as follows:

  • The first-level headings (e.g., introduction, conclusion) should be in font 12 bold with an initial capital letter for any proper nouns.

  • The second-level headings should be in font 12 bold italics with an initial capital letter for any proper nouns.

  • The third-level headings should be in font 12 italics with an initial capital letter for any proper nouns.

  • The fourth heading level should be in bold italics at the beginning of a paragraph. The text follows immediately after a full stop (full point) or other punctuation marks.

  • The fifth level should be in bold italics at the beginning of a paragraph. The text follows immediately after a full stop (full point) or other punctuation marks.

The double quotation marks (“”) should be used wherever applicable, except where "a quotation is ‘within’ a quotation."

 Tables

  • Tables should be inserted at the end of the manuscript after figures on a separate page.

  • They should have a brief captioned title in sentence case.

  • The tables should have lines separating rows but not columns. The footnotes used for tables should be presented outside the table at the bottom. Each superscript and abbreviation (alphabetically) should be defined properly in the table footnotes.

Figures

  • Figures should be inserted at the end of the manuscript after references on a separate page.

  • They should have a brief captioned title in sentence case.

  • The file format of the figure in which they will be supplied must be JPEG, EPS, PS, TIFF, or MS-DOC/DOCX.

Supplementary Information

  • Along with their papers, authors can send necessary supporting documentation and multimedia files. All file types (dataset, fileset, excel sheets, video, sound file or anything which supports the research paper) are acceptable and will be peer-reviewed; however, the complete set of supporting data must not exceed 25 MB in size.

  • At the end of the manuscript file, list the captions for every supplementary document. Captions should not be sent in a separate file.
