Data availability statement
When a publication is submitted to the Journal of Neoteric Lifescience, it is assumed that all resources detailed in the manuscript, including any pertinent raw data, will be freely accessible to any researcher who wants to utilize them for non-profit projects without compromising participant privacy.
Every dataset that forms the basis of the paper's conclusions should be made available to readers, and JNL requires data deposition in cases where data sharing is the accepted standard in the community.
We advise authors to make sure that their datasets are either included in the primary paper or supplementary supporting files in machine-readable format (such as spreadsheets rather than PDFs, wherever feasible) or placed in publicly accessible repositories (where available and acceptable).
Every author's submission must have a section called "Data availability statement" that explains where to locate the information that supports their findings. In the event that the data cannot be disclosed, authors are requested to add a declaration to the effect along with a justification for this decision.
In the case of post-publication data availability, JNL requires that all resources mentioned in the text, including all pertinent raw data, be made openly and unrestrictedly available to any researcher who wants to utilize them for non-commercial reasons after publication. The data must be made available to readers in accordance with the data availability statement in the publication, and the authors must make the necessary arrangements to do so. JNL anticipates that all datasets, on which the results of the study rely, will be made available to readers via community-accepted repositories connected to the journal via permanent IDs for datasets where sharing data is the community norm. The editor may do additional research and maintains the right to get in touch with the institution or funding agency if the original data cannot be supplied. If the requested data cannot be accessed, a retraction of the published paper may result.
