Authorship
Authorship acknowledges a researcher's contributions to a work and holds them accountable. The below criteria are expected to be followed by the author to fulfill the authorship criteria of our journal.
-
Each author must have significantly contributed to the idea or design of the work, the collection, analysis, or interpretation of data, the development of new software used in the work, the writing of the work, or its considerable revision.
-
The author must approve the submitted article or any significant modification involving the author.
-
The author must agree to both being held personally responsible for their own contributions and making sure that any concerns about the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work, even those in which they were not personally involved, are duly investigated, addressed, and the solution documented in the literature.
-
The letter of submission for a research article is not required to be signed by every author, and the order of the authors is not mandated. When an article is submitted to the Journal of Neoteric Lifescience, the journal considers all stated authors to have approved all the contents, including the author list and author contribution declarations. The corresponding author is in charge of managing all correspondence between the journal and all co-authors before and after publication. This includes making sure that all authors have approved the manuscript submission to the journal and have agreed to be listed.
-
On behalf of all authors of the manuscript, the corresponding author must also submit a conflict of interest statement; for more details, please see our competing interests' policy.
-
After publication, questions concerning the work are directed to the corresponding author. They are accountable for keeping all co-authors updated on any issues pertaining to the published work and making sure that issues are resolved quickly. If authors discover any errors in previously published work, they are obligated to notify the journal as soon as possible.
-
After a submission has been accepted, modifications to the order of the authors, changes to the corresponding author, and/or additions or deletions of authors are not authorized. The editors of the Journal of Neoteric Lifescience are not authorized to look into or resolve authorship disputes before or after publication. If these issues cannot be settled between the authors, they should be brought to the attention of the authorized institutional authorities.
-
Multiple authors can be listed collectively as a consortium. Individual writers can be mentioned in both the main author list and as members of a consortium, if appropriate. All consortium authors must be named at the end of the publication.
-
If a list of consortium participants who did not directly contribute to the publication has to be included, it can be included in the supplementary information. Please consult the journal editor before submitting any articles with a lot of authors in order to make the process easier.
The above-mentioned criteria are expected to be followed by the authors for their publication in the Journal of Neoteric Lifescience.
